Under the pretense of geographically integrating the country and bringing “development” to indigenous communities, the Bolivian government has launched a project to construct a highway that would cut through the middle of the Indigenous Territory and National Reserve Isiboro Secure (TIPNIS).

Paradoxically, the highway is plotted to be built dozens of kilometers from the indigenous communities, through their “sacred hill,” the place upon which the history and myth of their civilization is founded and one of the best-preserved nature reserves in the country, home to thousands of animal and plant species.

This video collects the testimonies of TIPNIS inhabitants who are resisting a belated and fraudulent “consultation” that attempts to legitimate the construction of the highway, consummating the destruction of their home and their way of life.
